Keep moving, connecting all the way to the goal

Success takes persistence.

It takes patience.

Success takes vision, serendipity and the ability to keep moving, through it all.

Here’s how a few others see the path to the goal:

Producing is nothing more than bringing all the elements together, connecting people.
Brion James

Making mental connections is our most crucial learning tool, the essence of human intelligence; to forge links; to go beyond the given; to see patterns, relationships, context.
Marilyn Ferguson

Creativity is the power to connect the seemingly unconnected.
William Plomer

Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don’t quit.
Conrad Hilton

Find (or make) untethered, techno-free time

We need a few moments regularly of untethered time to keep everything in perspective.

For me, a few minutes in nature does wonders.

Every single time.

What’s your favorite way to find even a few minutes of refreshing, technology-free and otherwise completely untethered time?

What works best for you, push or pull?

Working toward a big goal, milestone, or can't-miss deadline?

If so, consider what typically works best for you to motivate you over, around or through any barriers you may find on your way to the finish line.

Is your best motivator:

Push, the fear about the imagined (or actual) awful things that might happen if you miss the goal?

Pull, being inspired by the great things your customers, manager, colleagues will say, the way they look at you and exclaim enthusiastically about how much better you've made some part of their work or lives. Is it being inspired by the way you'll feel when you've succeeded in meeting this challenge, perhaps even more than you now envision and hope you will?

Or are you motivated most by a little bit of both, push and pull?

Whatever your answer use the power of push and pull to help you meet your next big goal.
